Workshops / Events

The Sage Garden runs a wide range of workshops for Community Groups, Markets, Festivals, Shopping centres, and cafes!
All workshops are designed with the clients to best suit their needs and event purposes. These workshops are open to imagination and interpretation.
We also like to collaborate with other Melbourne based businesses who have a passion for art, creativity, beauty and nature.

2014

  • Stocklands Shopping Centre. We set up a stall where families could pop by and plant an Autumn edible seed, and draw on a take home seed carry bag, complete with growing instructions.
  • Autumn Babe Workshop. We held a one hour Autumn workshop at East Elevation Cafe, with Cecilia Fox creating Autumn posies and planting edible Autumn seeds to take home.
  • Winter Babe Workshop. We are holding a one hour Autumn workshop at East Elevation Cafe, with Clea from Miniscapes, creating take home terrariums, making bird scarers with Winter seeds to take home.
  • Woodend Children’s Festival. We set up a stall where families could pop by and plant a Winter edible seed, and draw on a take home seed carry bag, complete with growing instructions.
  • Stonnington City Council Gardening Workshop- September 20th . Two hour garden session for families – learning through practical gardening activities
  • Knox City Council Gardening Workshop- September 25th. One hour garden session for families – learning through practical gardening activities
  • Spring Babe Workshop- September 30th. One hour Spring workshop at East Elevation Cafe, with Kimberley from Badlandsandco, creating take floral headpieces and planting Spring seeds to take home.
  • Dumbo Feather Fete- December 6th. 11 Princes St, St Kilda, Melbourne 8am to 1pm

2013

  • The City of Boroondara. We ran family friendly workshops, where families got their hands dirty planting edible seeds, learning how to test their soils pH levels and making a natural bug spray.
  • Prahran Market. We set up a stall where families could pop by and plant an edible seed, and draw on a take home seed carry bag, complete with growing instructions.
